Plainsman Switching Company (PSC) is a short-line railroad located in Lubbock, Texas
interchanging with the BNSF Railroad
Union Pacific Railroad
in downtown Lubbock. PSC is a subsidiary of
and operates 18 miles of railroad within the city of Lubbock east of
I-27, with rail access to property along South East Loop 289 between 19th and 50th Streets, the South Loop 289 from Southeast Drive to Hwy 84,
as well as track located in the Warehouse District.
PSC serves a variety of customers, shipping and receiving commodities such as grain, chemicals, cotton seed, cotton seed oil, specialty sands,
non-perishable food items, oil field supplies, and lumber. PSC also plays a vital role in the growing wind energy business. Our proximity to the fastest growing
